1 Year Anniversary at our new location!

Wow 1 year as of Nov. 4th 2009. Boy did it go by fast. I am so glad that we were able to move and expand the salon. It has been better than I expected. I get a lot of clients that ask me if I miss our first location and I really don't. I am glad I was able to start out smaller and grow but as for the lack of parking and the issues with the older building it is less stress in the new place. I still have wonderful memories of where it all began.
This past year has been exciting, we have grown so much. We currently have 12 awesome stylists, about 1/2 of them are part time and the rest are full time. We also have 3 wonderful receptionists. I am so glad we have such a wonderful staff and it does make life at the salon fun and refreshing. Five of our stylists have had little ones added to their families this year with 2 more to go. One in December and one in April. We all joke about what's in the water. Some of our clients like to bring their own! Now all but one are back to work, just in time for the crazy holidays.
I am excited to see what new things will be going on at the salon. Anyone who knows me knows that I love change and like to keep things interesting. So you all will have to see what's to come.

Farmington Festival Days Parade

It was fun , but boy was it hectic and time consuming getting ready for the big day. All of the maniquins were styled to show off certain decades. It was so much fun creating some of the classic looks that we all remember. It's amazing when we work as a team what we can create, and we hope that all that went to the parade enjoyed our float.

Farmington Baseball buzz cuts Sat. April 18th

A few of us decided it would be fun to set up a booth at Farmington Elementary for the start of the baseball season. It was a great day and we had a wonderful turnout!

Forget Cavemen, Look at how our Salon has evolved!

2006 -2008

Waiting Area

There used to be a wall here and a stairway. Once they were removed I could add another styling station for a total of 4.

Added a window to the back area, took out the massage room and added 2 more hair stations.

Small waiting area in the back

Shampoo area with 3 sinks

A lot bigger with even a brighter color scheme. Lime green, Yellow, and brighter accents.
2005

New color scheme, pale yellow and sage green.
2003

Retail Area

Just chillin between updo's.

No more white furniture, the black is more sleek & easier to keep clean.

Knocked out part of the wall to the back area and added more spa services.

Our wonderful massage room. We also did body waxing for a short while.
Our first Year
Opened April 6th 2001

Salon's First Color Scheme Sage Green & White.

Yes I used to bring my cat to work. Most days she was part of our window display.

I love change and moving things around. As long as its not nailed down it's fair game.

Remember when this painting technique was in style?

These benches did not last too long. They were a little tall and not very comfortable.
It did the trick until I found these white ones.
(Very comfortable, but not color friendly for us stylists!)

The bathroom is the only thing that stayed the same throughout the 7 1/2 years at our old location.

After a few months, we thought we would spice things up and add a few accent walls.

Our first official sign that was made by a family friend. It now hangs in our new salon and is a great piece of art.
